The idea behind career section

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Initially we started this with interviews and articles. We didn’t have plans for the internship section at all. Somehow the packaging for the career section didn’t seem complete and that’s when my husband, Rajesh, suggested the internship thing…..and that made the packaging complete.

The career section is now a useful resource centre for students. Right from deciding on a career, through articles that tell about the job prospects and other details, to interviews where users meet a real person from that industry and finally internships, where students can gain experience, the career section is a complete career life cycle.

So guys, make the most out of these resources by making use of the facebook share and retweet links. You can always get back to the people who have shared interviews. They are real nice people who I’m sure would be willing to help you with your questions.

Finally…the Career section’s up!!!!

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Hey all!!!

Guys, we had been planning this for ages now…but for some reason or the other, it was stuck…sometimes design issues, sometimes the programming side…and so it went on..I believe this would be a good resource centre for all our users as they will keep getting updates on what’s hot in the industry supplemented with an interview to get a feel of the industry through experiences shared by ‘real’ people.

Internships, paid or unpaid, are a good way of gaining experience or let’s put it this way, you get trained without having to pay and get to learn the ins and outs of a job.

So, I would be looking forward to some feedback from you guys…both on the new section and the new looks.

And don’t forget to share the information you found useful with the retweet and facebook share features………

Cheers
